Overview

As a Software Test Engineer III, you will be leading a team of Software Test Engineers to work on testing NTT Security’s core products, defining automation strategy for the testing process and achieving the highest product quality. As a lead, you will continously evolve our testing strategy, tools and frameworks  and implement such changes. This is a individual contributor role.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, modifying and executing software tests
  • Defining test automation strategies and priorities for an agile release cycle
  • Own QA infrasturucture and QA atrifacts (Test Repository tools and Test cases)
  • Close partnership with Development and DevOps teams
  • Working closely with cross functional team members from product architects, product management and other software engineering teams
  • Contributing in troubleshooting and triaging of issues reported by customers
  • Contributing to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment initiatives

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Previous 6+ years experience as Software Engineer in Test role with a focus on test automation
  • Experience with writing code in one or more of these languages: Java, Python, Shell Scripts.
  • Strong understanding of SQL, and testing databases
  • Previous experience defining test strategies and automation strategies
  • Experience creating Test Plans, Test Cases and Bug Reports
  • Passion for quality of the product and sense of ownership to vouch for the integrity of the product
  • Experience in productivity tools such as Jira, Git, Confluence and agile methodologies
  • QA experience testing a Big Data solution. Related experience with hadoop distributions (MapR, Cloudera, Hortonworks) NoSQL databases, Data Integration technologies like Hive,Spark and streaming technologies like Kafka is a plus            
  • Interest/experience in DevOps and deployment challenges associated with containerization and container orchestration technologies is desired
