The Software Test Automation Engineer is an entry level position that will be responsible for the writing and execution of automated testing for one of more components of the ActiveGuard™ Platform. The Software Test Automation Engineer will be part of an Agile development team, working closely with the product owner and developers to ensure high quality software releases. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can communicate clearly and have a consistent track record of success.


  • Learn the security space and all aspects of security devices/ software and methodology
  • Learn the business processes which are facilitated by the software to be tested
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts per test case requirements (example platforms: Selenium, Cucumber, LoadRunner, QTP, Grinder)
  • Execute automated tests for all layers of application testingReview and analyze testing results
  • Configure and maintain testing tools and environments
  • Plan, organize, and manage test execution based on software release schedules
  • Participates in the Agile methodology and reports progress/impediments accordingly
  • Identify and document defects and bugs; suggesting possible resolutions and root causes
  • Leverage issue/bug tracking software, collaboration software and other test management tools to document defects or bugs, as well as automation results
  • Work closely with developers to resolve issues found during testing
  • Keeps abreast of current trends in software quality assurance and requirements analysis best practices
  • Research and implement technologies to improve testing tools and development processes


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent
  • Education or Experience with Software quality assurance, requirement analysis, and software design, Software development, preferably Java
  • Experience with Database technologies, including SQL
  • Experience with Source code version control, i.e. GIT
  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle processes; Agile methodologies preferred
  • Experience with Linux/Unix, Mac iOS, Windows OS environments
  • Experience or Education with Technical writing
  • Demonstrated understanding of various testing methodologies for Unit, System, Integration, Functional, Regression, Performance and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test principles.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and productively with minimal supervision
