Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will be a part of the Accounting and Finance team located in the US.  Responsibilities will focus around preparing and updating financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, month-end and management reporting.  This position will interact closely with all parts of the organization and across a variety of functional areas.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Developing annual and long-term budgets.
  • Prepare forecasts of revenue and expenses.
  • Financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas.
  • Research and resolve inquiries for assigned functional areas.
  • Routine communication with supervisors relating to financial close, issues and deliverables
  • Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned functional areas.
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations.
  • Reconcile headcount for the United States by cost center at month-end and maintain a forecast for backfills, new hires, and current employees.
  • Assist with monthly management reporting of financial results for assigned functional areas.
  • Submission of monthly actuals to headquarters for consolidation.
  • Prepare monthly reporting package for assigned functional areas.
  • Review and research accounting transactions for functional areas.
  • Work with accounting to validate expenses are correctly mapped in terms of cost center and accounts.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-6 years related experience.
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls.
  • A collaborative and supportive working style.
  • Strong research and analysis skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A motivated individual driven by achievement, deadlines and with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
  • Great personality, able to gain respect and form good relationships.
  • Team player willing to do whatever is needed to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Great Plains, SAP or Adaptive Insights is a nice to have but not a requirement.
  • Experience with IBM Cognos TM1 skills also a nice to have but not a requirement
