We're looking for an innovative, motivated individual who is passionate about design, UI, and building industry-leading products.

The UI/UX Designer III will serve as a senior member of a development team responsible for one or more components of the ActiveGuard™ Platform.  They will be responsible for the design of client and internal facing applications.  Successful candidates will be strong leaders who have excellent design experience in a dynamic, rapidly-growing environment, and have developed a track record of delivery.


  • Learn the security space and all aspects of security devices/software and methodology
  • Become proficient in the ActiveGuard™ Platform from a technical and business perspective
  • Work with our Product Management and Software Engineering teams to lead design and UI development for our growing products
  • Implement user experience best practices and ensure others adhere to these standards
  • Design wireframes and prototypes based on business requirements, ensuring they are on time and high quality
  • Create pages with exceedingly clean, sematic markup, using HTML/CSS/JS and JSF
  • Build reusable front-end abstractions and frameworks
  • Audit products to enforce UX cohesion and clarity
  • Design and document UX standards
  • Actively participate in the project planning process, providing accurate estimates, timely statuses and ensuring roadblocks are properly escalated
  • Collaborate with remote and on-site resources
  • Mentor peers, especially junior developers or new hires


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent education
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JS libraries (i.e. AngularJS, jQuery, Ember.js), JSF
  • Knowledge of design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design and clean markup/styles
  • Passion for elegant and intuitive user interfaces
  • Experience designing and/or developing for mobile and tablet interfaces
  • Obsessed with creating pixel-perfect implementations in all browsers
  • Ability to create well-abstracted, reusable UI components
  • Experience with the phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, deployments and documentation
  • Experience with Agile Software Development principles and practices, particularly Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience providing accurate estimates
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence
  • Familiarity with GIT or comparable source code repositories (i.e. Subversion)
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and productively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well in a team environment; able to collaborate with product management, QA, and business.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, handle multiple competing priorities and function and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with J2EE application servers, such as JBoss, WebSphere, or WebLogic is preferred 
  • Experience with JSF, PrimeFaces and other Web Application Frameworks is a plus
